Mexico City, June 16, 2023.- The polyurethane industry strongly promotes the national economy and contributes to Mexico being the leading exporter of refrigeration systems worldwide, the second largest exporter of air conditioners, the third largest exporter of washing machines and stoves, and the fourth largest global exporter of cars.

At the conclusion of UTECH Las Américas 2023, which took place from June 13 to 15 at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City, experts presented the latest trends in biomaterials, applications and industrial processes in this sector. The meeting brought together exhibitors from around the world including the countries of Germany, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Spain, United States, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Romania and Turkey.

It was highlighted that, thanks to the polyurethane industry, Mexico is also considered the fifth largest global exporter of mattresses, as well as the ninth largest exporter of footwear with over 36 million pairs shipped primarily to the US market last year.UTECH had the participation of professionals from different branches of the industry, such as Jorge Lemus, Technical Director of Eiffel Products, who explained that it is a 100 percent Mexican company that has been working since 1969 and is a pioneer in the development of high-quality polyurethane systems. It is the only company in the country that offers polyurethane solutions for all types of applications in the industry.

Marcus Pettini and Rodrigo Petinni, directors of Transtécnica, stressed that the company has been working for half a century and is present in more than 50 countries, to offer equipment and solutions for the injection of molded foams and fiberglass.

Meanwhile, Julio Mortarotti, Technical Commercial Manager of Espumlatex, said that the company has an important presence in Latin America and offers polyurethane systems for various applications in the automotive industry, commercial refrigeration, industrial and foam injection systems, as well as systems for automotive filters, adhesives and tire recycling.
